We worked with client SPE Aberdeen to come up with an alternative solution. It would have been so easy to cancel the event, however we understood how important it was to recognise the finalists, reward the sponsors and ensure SPE Aberdeen could continue to deliver what they promised to the industry. So we proposed to take the OAAs online.
Fast forward to 6 months later and last Friday evening, the OAAs were successfully streamed across various platforms to 500+ guests. The ceremony certainly gave a much needed positive boost to everyone involved including the wider community.
Taking a long standing awards ceremony online was certainly a huge challenge but we worked with an amazing team to bring a creative, seamless, high profile event to everyone’s living rooms! If you missed it, you can watch it here - OAA Event
What’s next on the horizon? Digital events are going nowhere, at least for the moment. In September, we will be running DEVEX and Seismic virtually. Following that is the Trades Awards, Build IT and more in the pipeline for November. We are delighted to be part of this new journey into online events.
